Level 2 First Aid Course at Climbing The Walls

Unit 1 title: First Aid Essentials Unit 1 code: D/504/6101
Unit 2 title: Management of Illness and Injury in Activities Unit 2 code T/601/3616
This Level 2 qualification not only covers Basic Life Support, but many other First Aid conditions are also covered, making the full qualification very comprehensive. It’s made up of two units including First Aid Essentials and specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure and recreation.
Unit 1, (or day 1) of this qualification contains and covers the learning outcomes of the level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, so those who wish to gain the level 2 award in EFAW are able to sit day 1 of this qualification.
Duration
2 full days in the classroom, consisting of (lots of) practical and theoretical activities, plus an assignment and some pre-course activity could/may be required.

• Head injuries
• Electrical injuries

• Spinal injuries
• Minor injuries
• Seizures
• Diabetes
• Drowning injuries
• Angina
• Asthma
• Basic hygiene in First Aid
Certification
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor along with a multiple choice question paper, and a three year qualification will be issued to the learner, subject to assessment. For those wishing to complete the full Level 2 qualification, this course must be completed within 6 weeks.
